This thesis reports the author's experience of interpreting two mock conference speeches themed “Summit of Regional Economy” and “Global Vision on Fishery and Aquaculture” respectively.Major problems in the interpreting process were identified and analyzed at lexical,syntactical,textual and cultural levels.Enlightened by the Interpreting Theory,the interpreter employed several strategies in dealing with those problems,i.e.deverbalization,cognitive complement,information simplification and logical integration.Those strategies were further elaborated using examples from the interpreting practice.The author concluded that through this report,implications were gained which might be valuable for the future interpreting practice. |
