The Application Of Expressionism Painting Form In "Mysterious Xiangxi" Of Oil Painting

In the field of western modern painting,expressionism is a very important art school,it was popular in the early 20 th century in northern European countries and various forms,Germany as the center.Expressionism attaches great importance to the expression of the painter’s personal real emotions,opposes the mechanical imitation of the objective reality,emphasizes subjective expression,the pursuit of a "spiritual beauty",and often with strong color contrast,changeable brush strokes and exaggerated and distorted artistic images,endowed the works with great symbolic meaning and spiritual power.During my postgraduate study,the author was impressed by this unique painting form and finally applied it to his graduation creation.Therefore,based on the author’s oil painting "mystery xiangxi" as the foothold,the practice of research to explore how to apply in writing expressionist painting forms to complete the xiangxi minority theme paintings,then for the oil painting creation on the basis of break traditional reproducibility paints,in combination with the unique elements in western expressionism genre,Excavating different artistic styles and expressive techniques.The works select some representative elements of western Hunan,the use of a number of comparative artistic techniques,to trigger the audience’s infinite association,so that they pay attention to the work behind the hidden spiritual connotation.The main body of the article is divided into three chapters.The first chapter introduces the formation of expressionism,the main painting groups,the analysis of artistic style and formal language;The second chapter summarizes the relevant content before creation,including creation inspiration,inspiration source and investigation;The third chapter focuses on the specific application of expressionist painting form in the creation,and discusses the composition,color,brush strokes and the transmission of spiritual connotation of the work.
