A Study On The Folk Words Of The Vietnamese Chinese Cursive Script Huang Ge Yi Wen Preserved In Japan

This paper makes an exhaustive investigation and collation of the vulgar character glyphs in the Vietnamese Chinese cursive script Huang Ge Yi Wen,which is kept in Keio University,Japan.Based on the Chinese character books of past dynasties and the Internet database,this paper classifies and studies the vulgar script characters in the scripts in order to show the characteristics of the form variation of Chinese characters spread to Vietnam.The first chapter is an introduction.First of all,it briefly introduces the main contents of the Huang Ge Yi Wen and makes a brief textual research on the compilers of the script.Secondly,it summarizes the study of Chinese cursive script,Vietnamese paper documents and inscription documents,folk words and vulgar characters,and the compilation of Chinese books.Finally,it briefly introduces the research content,method,significance and innovation.The second chapter is about the definition,evolution and spread of cursive characters.First of all,referring to Huang Zheng’s viewpoint that cursive script is folk words,and combining with some scholars’ explanation of folk words,this paper defines the concept of cursive folk words.Secondly,it summarizes the evolution and classification of cursive characters.According to the classification of Chinese cursive script,cursive folk words can also be divided into three categories: Zhang Cao folk words,Jin Cao folk words and Kuang Cao folk words.After tracing the roots of Chinese cursive script,We found that the cursive folk words came into being in the late Han Dynasty and spread in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasty.Finally,it gives a brief account of the spread and development of cursive characters in Vietnam.The third chapter narrates the inheritance of regular folk words in the script.First of all,from the source of the written text of the typical heritage of the word classification:one mainly from regular folk words,can be found in the Chinese Dictionary of the use case of the general heritage of the word,referring to the types of regular folk words summarized by Zhang Yongquan in the study of Chinese vulgar characters,this paper divides the inheritance of regular folk words into seven types,and the other type comes from Chinese cursive script.Then,it explains the typical inheritance of folk words in the script.The Fourth Chapter narrates the variant folk words in the script.Firstly,it classifies the typical variant folk words into five categories: phonetic variation,shape variation,stroke variation,symbol variation and cursive writing variation.Later,it explained the typical variant folk words in the script.The fifth chapter is about the characteristics of cursive folk words.Through the analysis of examples,it can be summarized as follows: Glyph reduction,symbol analogy,side-by-side mixing,stroke and even writing.The chapter six is summary and shortcomings of this article.In this chapter,I summarized the content of the full text,pointed out the shortcomings of the article,and proposed future research directions and research space.
