Research On Zhuge Liang’s Legends

Zhuge Liang,a famous politician,military strategist,and writer of the Three Kingdoms period,his deeds have been widely circulated for thousands of years,and his legendary color has also become stronger under the artistic processing of literati in various periods.The southwest region has been a place where many ethnic groups live since ancient times.Minorities’ memories of Zhuge Liang’s southern expedition have been passed down in the form of legends.The different historical memories of various ethnic groups have made Zhuge Liang’s legends colorful.The in-depth content behind the legend,such as the generation mechanism of the legend,ethnic relations,and regional culture,are all worthy of in-depth study.The full text is divided into four chapters.The first chapter will briefly analyze Zhuge Liang’s image in historical books,literary works,and folklore.Based on in-depth reading of a large number of historical materials,literary works and folklore,summarize the image of Zhuge Liang in these three types of works,and get This chapter shows the general trajectory of Zhuge Liang’s image evolution.This chapter is a manifestation of the literary nature of the paper,and it also lays the foundation for the subsequent research.The second chapter firstly defines the legends academically,and then makes a detailed classification of the legends of south expedition circulated among the southwestern ethnic minorities.It is divided into explanatory legends and descriptive legends,and then subdivided from characters and storylines,this chapter is an important part of the link between the previous and the next.Chapter 3 makes a detailed study of the generation mechanism of the south expedition legend,analyzes the historical context of its generation and the "Chinese identity" behind it,and points out that most of the south expedition legends are affected by the "arrow stack effect",it was a constructed truth.The evolving form of Zhuge Liang’s legend is mainly manifested in the gradual distance from history,the continuous strengthening of literary character,and the continuous prominence of the characteristics of folk literature.The last part of this chapter will give a brief summary of the spread of Zhuge Liang’s legend.The fourth chapter uses the knowledge of folk literature,ethnology and sociology to conduct an in-depth analysis of the relationship between Zhuge Liang’s legend and local society from four aspects: legend circle,ethnic migration and integration,ethnic group theory,folklore and folk beliefs.The end of the thesis summarizes the image of Zhuge Liang in various styles and its evolution,explains the huge influence of the legend of the Southern Expedition on the ethnic culture of the southwest region,highlights the cultural integration and ethnic cultural identity of the ethnic groups in the southwest,and depicts the cultural landscape of the symbiosis of all ethnic groups.The has high documentation and cultural value.
