Chinese painting art and Western painting art have different ways to express their advantages due to the different historical backgrounds and cultural forms.Traditional Chinese painting art has inherited the concept of "Integration between man and nature" and the method of "Express aspiration through objects",and the works are expressed in "Artistic conception" and "Elegant objects".The Western Renaissance advocated "humanism",which mainly reflected the rational and logical thinking and scientific cognition through the artistic modeling incisively and vividly,and restored the objective reality and visual impression to the greatest extent in the painting art,thus precipitating the rigorous and scientific modeling system.During my undergraduate period,I studied in the Chinese Painting Department of Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts,received systematic figure painting training,and mastered certain painting skills.Then I entered the postgraduate study stage of Hainan University,deepened my cognition and understanding of painting art,and developed a keen interest in the painting art of the German painter Hans Holbein the younger during the Renaissance.With the comprehensive use of interpretation,copying,and creation methods,I conducted research on Holbein’s painting,focusing on analyzing my artistic concepts and modeling methods.Combining my learning experience of Chinese painting and my understanding of some Western artistic concepts represented by Holbein,based on the perspective of "Chinese and Western integration",I borrowed and absorbed its expression forms and techniques to form a figure painting with distinctive personality characteristics for me to get new ideas.This paper carries out both theoretical and empirical analysis.The research structure of this thesis is mainly divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction of the thesis,which summarizes the purpose,significance,status,content and methods of the research.The second part briefly elaborates the formation and influence of " the integration between Chinese and Western " perspective,and provides experience and basis for choosing Western painters as research and reference objects,to understand the form and content of Holbein’s paintings.The third part will draw on Holbein’s painting personality,modeling language,expressive techniques,and comprehensively use deconstruction and reconstruction concepts and modeling methods to complete the creation.The fourth part is based on my graduation creation,taking the overall picture as a research perspective,showing the creative process and discussing the process of Holbein’s painting reference.The fifth part is the summary and reflection of the thesis,summarizing the research findings,reflecting on the research deficiencies,and looking forward to my future artistic development.
