Study On Exegetical Term "You" In Shuowenjiezi Annotations

In the Qing Dynasty,the study of Shuowen emerged in endlessly,and became a special study.Among them,Duan Yucai’s annotation of Shuowen Jiezi(hereinafter referred to as duanzhu)is the most famous one.It has many creative ideas and far-reaching influence,and has made outstanding achievements in philology,exegetics,linguistics and so on.This paper selects the exegetical term "you" in duanzhu as the research object,which is typical and representative.In this paper,statistics and comparative analysis are used to sort out,count,compare and analyze the term "you" in duanzhu.Finally,the conclusion is drawn that further understanding of the role of "you" in annotating ancient books is helpful to guide modern people to read ancient books and explore the methods and rules of ancient exegetists’ interpretation of language.At the same time,it has great significance for the construction of annotation,collation and other disciplines It has important application value.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,this paper will be divided into two parts: the first part introduces the usage of Duan Yucai’s self annotated term "you",including the function of shape,sound and meaning interpretation."You" can explain not only the change of glyph,but also the influence of components on glyph,which are component related,component ideographic and component universal.When explaining pronunciation,"you" can not only directly explain pronunciation,but also explain homophony loan and sound change rules.When explaining the meaning of a word,"you" has more extensive functions.When explaining the meaning of a word directly,it can be divided into saying synonymy,explaining and explaining,and explaining ancient Chinese with modern language;when explaining the meaning of a word indirectly,it can be divided into saying similar meaning,saying extended meaning,comparing the same kind,and explaining the name.The second part introduces the usage of the term "you" in Duan Yucai’s notes,which is similar to the usage of the term "you" in his notes.It can be divided into three categories: shape interpretation,sound interpretation and meaning interpretation.Through a large number of examples,this paper demonstrates the use of the exegetical term "you" in Duan Zhu,affirms the use value of "you".At the same time,it makes a comparative analysis of Duan Yucai’s use of self Annotation "you" and that of quoting others’ notes to explain "you",and explains the similarities and differences.Finally,we question and discuss Duan Yucai’s definition of the use of the term "you".
