This paper focuses on the controversial verbs in traditional Chinese Grammar(such as verbs "sit,come,go" in existential sentence and verbs "die,blind,move" in possessor-subject-possessum-object sentence)and the relevant sentence patterns(such as "Presidium sitting on the stage" "Wang Mian’s father died").On the basis of sorting out the previous research results on the classification of Chinese verbs,combining with the fact of the classification of Chinese verbs,this paper puts forward the classification system of modern Chinese verbs under the guidance of Linguistic Typology and Three-dimensional grammar.The paper consists of six parts:The first part is the introduction.This part mainly summarizes the current situation of previous scholars on the classification of Chinese verbs,and state the source and the significance of selected topic,the research methods,the source of the corpus and the relevant instructions,as well as the classification standards and the use of terminology of Chinese verbs in this paper.The second part is the classification of Chinese transitive verbs from the perspective of linguistic typology.This part mainly studies the following contents:(1)Syntactic configuration of linguistic typology and the classification of Chinese verbs;(2)Typological classification of Chinese transitive verbs;(3)Study the attribution of verbs in ambiguous sentence such as "The chicken stopped eating",patient subject sentence and existential sentence,according to the typological classification of transitive verbs.The third part is the classification of Chinese intransitive verbs from the perspective of linguistic typology.This part mainly studies the following contents:(1)Typological classification of Chinese intransitive verbs;(2)Study the attribution of verbs in existential sentence "Presidium sitting on the stage",possessor-subject-possessum-object sentence "Wang Mian’s father died",according to the typological classification of intransitive verbs.The fourth part is the classification of Chinese Multi-category verbs from the perspective of linguistic typology.On the basis of the classification of transitive verbs and intransitive verbs,this part classifies Multi-category verbs:(1)Concurrently be transitive and intransitive verbs;(2)Concurrently be two subcategories of intransitive verbs.The fifth part is the analysis of the controversial phenomenon with the classification system of Chinese verbs from the perspective of linguistic typology.Under the guidance of typological classification system of Chinese verbs,this part analyzes controversial phenomena:the attribution of“V Sheng / V Bai”“Chi Bao / He Zui”.The sixth part is the conclusion.This part is a summary of the main process and conclusions of the full study.
