| This report is on the translation of Artificial Intelligence: Opportunities and Risks,a professional report regarding Artificial Intelligence jointly presented by Foundational Research Institute in Germany and Effective Altruism Foundation.The latest development status and trend on Artificial Intelligence,its opportunities as well as the potential risks for human society are introduced in a systematic way.This scientific translation task on Artificial Intelligence stays close to the latest development of the hot field.Task description,translation process,case analysis and conclusion are arranged in this report in a gradual and progressive manner.The translation task is systematically introduced in Chapter One through the elaboration of the source and content,selection and significance as well as objectives of the task.The translation process including preparation,source text analysis and completion and improvement of translation is presented in Chapter Two.Based on source text analysis,both the important parts of translation and the application of skills are involved in case analysis from lexical and sentential level guided by the theories of Functional Equivalence.At last,the report is summarized in conclusion with both review and prospects.With a problem-oriented approach and the focus on translation practice,the theories of Functional Equivalence are applied in the translation.All-round analysis of the source text and related translation strategies based on the features of the text enable the combination of theories and practice and the unification in macro and micro levels. |
