A Study On The Historical Value Of Shiqian Zhuzhici By Song Qingchang In Qing Dynasty

As a poetic style,Zhuzhici originated from Bashu folk songs.In the Tang Dynasty,the poet Liu Yuxi transformed it into a poetic form.Zhuzhi ci,which often intones the local customs is an important folk historical material for studying regional history.Song Qingchang,a native of Fengtian Tieling in Qing Dynasty was the magistrate of Shiqian mansion during Daoguang period.During his administration of Shiqian mansion,he tried his best to serve the people and benefit them.His poems on Shiqian Zhuzhici expressed his deep sympathy for the poor people’s miserable situation.Song Qingchang’s poems on Shiqian Zhuzhici describes what he saw,heard and felt in Shiqian mansion.In terms of historical value,Shiqian Zhuzhici is an important supplementary material of traditional official documents,which plays an important role in verifying,supplementing and preserving history.The historical data of Shiqian Zhuzhici comes from the traditional official documents and most of them come from Song Qingchang’s investigation.It is of high historical value to record what he experienced,heard and witnessed.Based on the original version of Shiqian Zhuzhici collected by Fudan University,this paper makes corrections to the edited version of Shiqian Zhuzhici,highlighting the importance of using the original historical materials in the research.Combing the historical sources of Shiqian Zhuzhici,analyzing its historical functions and highlighting its precious historical value.The article makes an in-depth study on the historical value of Shiqian Zhuzhici from three aspects: First,it analyzes the economic historical value of Shiqian Zhuzhici,especially that Shiqian Zhuzhici preserves a large amount of historical data about the price of Shiqian mansion in Daoguang period,which makes up for the deficiency of traditional literature.By means of comparative study and literature study,this paper outlines the social and economic activities of Shiqian mansion in Daoguang period of Qing Dynasty.The second is to explore the value of life history in Shiqian Zhuzhici.The historical materials of clothing,diet,residence and travel,which are not contained in traditional documents,supplement the life history of Shiqian mansion in Qing Dynasty.There are obvious group differences in clothing,food,housing and transportation,showing a vibrant life picture of Shiqian people in Qing Dynasty.The third is to explore the historical value of folk customs in Shiqian Zhuzhici.The historical materials about marriage customs,funeral,grave sweeping,folk customs of production,folk customs of life,and beliefs in Shiqian Zhuzhici can prove and supplement the history in traditional documents,some of the folk customs described by them have disappeared now,which reflects their role in preserving history.Through the study of the folk history value of Shiqian Zhuzhici,it is known that in the long-term life and communication process,the influence of Han culture has penetrated into Shiqian area,Han and ethnic minorities have their own folk customs and common beliefs.People of all ethnic groups have gradually formed a common cultural identity,and universality and individuality coexist,which together constitute the unique Shiqian ethnic culture.
