An Investigation And Research On The Cross-cultural Adaptability Of International Students From Countries In The Chinese Character Cultural Circle

More and more overseas students come to China for in-depth study of Chinese and Chinese excellent culture.International students in China will inevitably experience cultural conflicts,contradictions,and even cultural shock in their study and life in China,so they are targeted.It is very necessary to improve one’s own cross-cultural adaptability.In this process,the number of international students from countries in the Chinese character cultural circle has been increasing,and they have shown a certain degree of particularity.Therefore,this article investigates the cross-cultural adaptation of international students from countries in the Chinese character cultural circle,and puts forward corresponding suggestions.This study takes 163 international students from South Korea,Japan,and Vietnam as the survey subjects,and uses questionnaire surveys and interviews to study the cross-cultural adaptation of international students.The data obtained is statistically analyzed by SPSS26.0,combined with the interviews with four international students,to study the problems and corresponding influencing factors of the international students in the process of crosscultural adaptation.This article is divided into five parts: The first part is the introduction of this article,which introduces the purpose and significance of this research,research ideas and methods,and the current research status at home and abroad;the second part is the theoretical basis of this research,established through the definition of concepts The definition criteria of the thesis clarify the source of the dimensions of this article;the third part is the design and implementation of the research survey,which mainly includes the design ideas and implementation of the questionnaire design and the interview design;the fourth part is the survey results statistics and Analyze,analyze the overall situation and influencing factors of foreign students from the countries of the Chinese character cultural circle,and draw relevant conclusions;the fifth part is the suggestions and conclusions,based on the results of data analysis,put forward corresponding suggestions,and summarize the full text.The results of this survey show that the overall cross-cultural adaptability of international students from countries in the Chinese character cultural circle is above the medium level,and it is more difficult for international students to adapt to the social culture in their psychological adaptation.Among the four specific dimensions of socio-cultural adaptation,the social support dimension has the lowest average value,and the living environment dimension has the highest average value;the option with the highest average value is whether it can accept the socio-cultural adaptation of the local transportation mode,and the lowest average value is the problem of participating in religious activities.In terms of psychological adaptation,the highest average of each dimension is the average of physical disorders,and the lowest is the average of psychomotor disorders;the option with the highest score is "I am not troubled by constipation",and the lowest is "I think I decide everything It’s easy".According to statistics,gender,age,region,educational background,length of time in China,length of Chinese study,Chinese proficiency when coming to China,experience in China before entering school,number of local friends,and intensity of motivation all have a certain impact on the cross-cultural adaptation of international students.Finally,this article combines the investigation and analysis to put forward corresponding suggestions for foreign students from countries in the Chinese character cultural circle,hoping to help foreign students overcome cultural shock to adapt to the life of studying in China,improve their mental construction ability,and better understand the teaching content.
