The report is mainly based on the English-Chinese translation practice of AI and the Future of Banking(Chapters 3-4).The source text introduces the application of artificial intelligence and analytic in banking, and provides guidance for the relevant industry in the new information era.The source text is informative text which contains a large amount of professional knowledge in the related fields. The meaning of some words is fuzzy and the sentence structure is complex with implicit logic hidden in the sentences and paragraphs, which brings considerable difficulties to the translator.Guided by some translation theories, the author mainly summarizes the representation of implicit information in the source text from the lexical and syntactic perspective. In terms of vocabulary, the focus is on the nouns, verbs and adverbs, and the implicit information in the vocabulary is analyzed by flexibly using translation techniques such as semantic extension and communicative translation strategies;for sentences, the author focuses on the descriptive clauses and sentences containing implicit logic. In this regard, the author mainly adopts methods such as sentence reconstruction and adjustment of word order, and some translation techniques such as division, addition and conversion to accurately reproduce the content of the original. This translation practice helps the author gain better insights about how to translate such informative texts related to financial technology, and accumulate more translation skills. It is hoped that the solutions and strategies proposed in this report can provide reference for the translation of the same type of texts in the future.
