Study On The Influence Of Family Cultural Capital On Rural Adolescents’ Psychological Depression | Posted on:2022-03-22 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | Country:China | Candidate:Z S Zhao | Full Text:PDF | GTID:2505306521470654 | Subject:Agricultural management | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | Under the background of rural revitalization,the national strategic plan for Rural Revitalization(2018-2022)further emphasizes the promotion of "healthy rural" construction,which has aroused social attention to rural residents’ physical and mental health,especially mental health.As the reserve force of national development,rural teenagers’ mental health status is closely related to their personal development and economic and social progress,so we must pay close attention to it.Depression is one of the most common and harmful symptoms among the numerous psychological problems of teenagers.Psychological depression can not only lead to painful psychological feelings of teenagers,but also lead to extreme behavioral tendencies such as violent impulse and self injury.Based on this,it is very necessary to find out the factors that affect adolescent depressive psychological problems from the root,and develop effective depression prevention programs on this basis.It is good for promoting the mental health development of rural teenagers and realizing the Rural Revitalization.On the basis of reviewing the existing literature at home and abroad,this paper,from the perspective of family cultural capital,explores the specific influencing factors of rural adolescents’ psychological depression and its internal mechanism.The first purpose of this paper is to investigate whether family cultural capital has a significant impact on rural adolescents’ psychological depression,how much the impact is,and whether there are differences in the direction and degree of influence of different family cultural capital.The second purpose is to investigate the heterogeneous impact of family cultural capital on the depression degree of rural adolescents of different ages and genders.The third purpose is to study the mechanism and mediating effect of different family cultural capital on rural adolescents’ depression.This study not only has theoretical significance to enrich the literature on adolescent psychological problems,but also has practical significance to reduce the incidence of depression in rural adolescents.Based on the data of China Family Panel Studies(CFPS2016)which can reflect the national situation in 2016,this paper constructs ordinary least squares model to estimate the relationship between family cultural capital and rural adolescents’ psychological depression by using empirical research method,combining with qualitative and quantitative analysis.This paper also constructs an ordered probit model to further test the mediating effect of family cultural capital and adolescent depression,and then draws the following conclusions(1)Objective cultural capital has little influence on rural adolescents’ psychological depression,which needs further discussion;institutionalized and specific cultural capital has obviously opposite effect on rural adolescents’ depression,and the effect of specific cultural capital is greater than that of institutionalized cultural capital.(2)Institutionalized and specific cultural capital has heterogeneous effects on rural adolescents’ psychological depression.Specifically,the negative impact of institutionalized cultural capital on depression of boys is greater than that of girls;the negative impact of specific cultural capital on puberal adolescent`s depression is greater than that of non puberal adolescents.(3)Parenting style played a part of mediating role between institutionalized cultural capital and rural adolescents’ psychological depression,while stress played a partial mediating role between specific cultural capital and rural adolescents’ psychological depression.On this basis,in order to promote the mental health development of rural teenagers and reduce the risk of depression,this paper puts forward some suggestions: strengthen the frequency of parent-child communication,pay attention to adolescent depression;increase the investment in rural education,improve the quality of rural residents;change backward ideas,pay attention to the mental health of girls;improve the family upbringing mode,reduce the pressure of adolescent learning. | Keywords/Search Tags: | Cultural capital, Adolescent, Psychological depression | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
