| Metaphysics has always been a hot topic in philosophy.In modern times,the lofty position of metaphysics has been broken due to the continuous improvement of natural science,among which logical empiricism is the main representative.Hong Qian is one of the official members of Vienna School.As a firm logical empiricist,he has been disseminating and developing logical empiricism all his life.Based on the theory of Vienna School,he took a critical attitude towards metaphysics.Different from logical empiricism,Hong Qian always insisted on distinguishing knowledge from experience.From the perspective of scientific world outlook,Hong Qian divided methods into theory,logical analysis and other methodologies based on propositions,and criticized the specific forms of traditional metaphysics.He pointed out that the mistake of traditional metaphysics is to confuse knowledge with experience,and to regard metaphysics as the existence of transcendental,which can not be tested by verifiable principles,is a meaningless theory.Hong Qian uses modern physics knowledge such as non-European geometry and quantum mechanics to demonstrate the basic problems of metaphysics,such as reality,mind and causality.He pointed out that the essence of reality is a logical problem,only according to the compound standard has the meaning of existence;the theory of space geometry and the problem of mind are progressive,only by correctly understanding the theory of space geometry can we realize the value of mind in epistemology.Therefore,Hong Qian clearly divides metaphysics: one is the field of experience,the other is the field of practice.Metaphysics has positive and effective significance in the scope of experience,and there is no value in the field of knowledge practice.It can be seen that there are differences between Hong Qian’s metaphysics and that of traditional Chinese philosophy.However,the methodology used by Hong Qian in the analysis of metaphysics can provide a new perspective for the development of Chinese philosophy,which can help to build a systematic logic system,promote the development of Chinese mathematical logic,and spread analytic philosophy in China. |
