With the continuous improvement of China’s international status and rapid economic development,the role of Chinese in the exchanges and cooperation between China and the world has become increasingly prominent,and its worldwide promotion and dissemination is becoming the trend of the times.However,various negative voices such as " the threat of China" and "Chinese cultural output" appeared in everyone’s field of vision.In order to maintain China’s international image of peace-loving and friendly coexistence,how to effectively promote Chinese internationally has become an urgent problem to be solved.Since the beginning of the new century,China’s foreign aid funds have maintained rapid growth.At the same time,the Chinese government is paying more and more attention to aid in the field of education in developing countries,and the scale of education aid is also expanding rapidly.Therefore,this article conducts an in-depth analysis of the impact of my country’s foreign aid on the international promotion of Chinese.First,this paper statistically analyzes the current situation of the international promotion of Chinese and China’s foreign aid.Then,this paper makes a theoretical analysis from three aspects: the ways of influence,the timeliness of influence and the main body of aid from different aspects.Next,by distributing the questionnaire,we collected the questionnaire data on the international promotion of Chinese by foreigners whose first language is not Chinese.Further use the Ologit model to conduct empirical measurement,analyze the influencing factors of the international promotion of Chinese,and finally put forward relevant policy recommendations based on the research conclusions.Through the current situation of China’s foreign aid and international promotion of Chinese analysis found: In 2004 to 2019,China’s foreign aid overall steady growth;In foreign countries,more and more people are learning Chinese,and Confucius Institutes have played an important platform for the international promotion of Chinese.Through theoretical analysis,it is found that the direct impact of China’s foreign aid on the international promotion of Chinese is the main,and the indirect impact is auxiliary;the long-term impact of China’s foreign aid on the international promotion of Chinese is the most far-reaching;the influence of different levels of subjects on the international promotion of Chinese is Different.Found through quantitative empirical analysis: the Chinese level of the respondents is significantly positively correlated with the number of people learning Chinese around them.The probability of the number of people learning Chinese around the respondents with high Chinese level is 25.5% higher than that of the number of people learning Chinese less.The respondents who think that Confucius Institutes are helpful to their study are 59.9% more likely to have a large number of people learning Chinese than to have a small number of people learning Chinese.The respondents who are willing to learn Chinese courses are 82.3% more likely to have a large number of people learning Chinese than to have a small number of people learning Chinese.The respondents who are familiar with China’s foreign aid are 67.9% more likely to have a large number of people learning Chinese than a small number of people learning Chinese.Respondents who believe that China’s foreign aid is effective are 37.1% more likely to have a large number of people learning Chinese than those who have a small number of people learning Chinese.In response to the above research conclusions,the following suggestions are made:In view of the clustering characteristics of Chinese learning,various forms of Chinese activities shall be carried out;International promotion of Chinese should be mainly based on aid projects with medium and long-term effects,supplemented by aid projects with short-term effects;Broaden the sources of funding for Confucius Institutes,enhance the Chinese promotion capabilities of Confucius Institutes;Strengthen the effectiveness of China’s foreign aid and promote the international promotion of Chinese;Specifically analyze the difficulties of Chinese learning in various countries,create localized teaching materials,and create universal teaching methods.
