| With the development of China's comprehensive national strength and the promotion of the position in the world, Chinese is growing in popularity, as its' culture is indispensable in contemporary Chinese society. Various organizations and institutions for promoting Chinese language and culture have continuously emerged. Among them, "China National Office for Chinese International Promotions" (hereinafter referred to as "Han Ban"), major push for the Confucius Institute is the most noteworthy.This research proposes a new perspective for observation and analysis problems, based on the studying the international Chinese promotion and the related literature of Confucius Institute operation. It also focuses on the limitation of "Chinese International Volunteer Teachers Plan" and its positive effects on the Chinese international promotion. This study will provide more theories and suggestions for practical teaching in view of the long-term development of the Chinese international promotion.The research mainly includes three parts:the first part is to clear the definition of Language Specific Voluntary Service, and to give a comprehensive introduction to the development of Language Specific Voluntary Service and Chinese international promotion in European countries, such as Britain, France, Germany and Spain, as well as China. The second part is to analyze the Language Specific Voluntary Service's impact on Chinese international promotion. It also points out the problem of Language Specific Voluntary Service This study will then demonstrate that the Language Specific Voluntary Service plays an important role in Chinese international promotion, combined with some successful cases of major European language's international promotion. The third part is to provide some recommendations for the Chinese international promotion, on the basis of the features and limitations of Language Specific Voluntary Service, and the summary about the above. |
