Research On Li Rong’s Academic Thoughts Of Dialectology

Li Rong is a well-known dialectologist and phonologist in my country.Throughout his life,Mr.Li has made in-depth research in lexicography,philology,phonology,grammar,etc.,and has achieved many research results.As the founder of the "Dialect" quarterly,Mr.Li Rong has achieved great academic results.Most of them appear in the field of dialectology.He has written a large number of articles and works on the study of Chinese dialects.These articles and works contain Mr.Li’s rich academic thoughts on dialectology and can often reveal many objective language phenomena.The lines between the lines reflect Mr.Li ’s rigorous,pragmatic and innovative academic spirit.Mr.Li Rong’s dialectology research and his academic thoughts on dialectology are based on his profound life experience and diligent and solid dialect investigation.This dissertation intends to combine the academic history of Mr.Li Rong,the background of his academic thought formation,his ideological viewpoints and practical activities in dialectology,and integrate various materials to conduct an in-depth discussion on his dialectology academic thoughts in order to make an objective evaluation.The content of this article is divided into five parts:The introduction explains the reasons for the writing,summarizes the current situation of the academic thoughts of Mr.Li Rong ’ s dialectology,points out the deficiencies of the current academic research on Mr.Li Rong’s dialectology academic thoughts,and expounds the academic significance of the research on Mr.Li Rong’s dialectology academic thoughts.The second part summarizes the life and academic history of Mr.Li Rong,and analyzes his representative works.The academic history of Mr.Li is divided into five stages,namely 1920 to 1949,1949 to 1966,1966 to 1976,1976 to 1990,and 1990 to2002.From these stages and His representative works clarify his life’s creative and practical activities.The third part explores the two major backgrounds of the formation of Mr.Li Rong’s academic thoughts on dialectology.The first is the objective background,which includes the influence of foreign linguistic thoughts,domestic times and social factors;the second is subjective factors such as personal experience and personality.Among them,Mr.Li Rong ’ s personal study path,hobbies,and related dialect teaching and research practice have a profound influence on the formation of his dialectology academic thought.The fourth part is the core part of this thesis,starting with Mr.Li Rong ’ s phonetic research of Wenling dialect,dialect survey,dialect division,and dialect service for society,showing some important academic thoughts of Mr.Li Rong in dialect research.Mr.Li ’s Wenling dialect research emphasizes the importance of theory and facts.On the basis of mastering a large number of dialect materials,he makes full use of the method of comparison to in-depth study of Wenling dialect’s tone sandhi,tone change,and soft tone.When conducting phonetic analysis of Wenling dialect Always adhere to the economic principle of language is a major feature;Mr.Li’s dialect investigation respects the facts of dialects and focuses on the cultivation of dialect investigators;dialect division is reflected in the division of Chinese dialects,Mandarin dialects and Jin dialects,and dialects are proposed.In the five-level division method of zoning,the zoning of Mandarin dialects not only considers language conditions,but also fully considers social factors,and uses phonetic conditions plus geographic scope to separate Jin dialects from Mandarin dialects;in addition,some controversial zoning The problem Mr.Li Rong also has his own unique views.The most noteworthy aspect of dialect’s service to society is the "Modern Chinese Dialect Dictionary" edited by Mr.Li Rong.The publication of the dictionary promotes the common development of dialects and other disciplines,and provides a wealth of language for the research of various scientists.material.The fifth part is the comparison and evaluation of Mr.Li Rong’s academic thoughts on dialectology on the basis of the first four parts.By comparing with other dialectologists,highlighting the special features of Mr.Li Rong’s academic thoughts on dialectology,and analyzing the inheritance and innovation of Mr.Li Rong ’ s dialectology academic thoughts,we can clearly see the innovation of Mr.Li Rong’s dialectology academic thoughts.It is mainly reflected in the opening of new horizons of dialect division,and social work related to dialectology is the establishment of the "Dialect" quarterly,the establishment of the Chinese Dialect Society,and the creation of cooperation and exchanges between China and Australia.Finally,based on Mr.Li Rong’s dialect practice and the influence on society,he pointed out the limitations of Mr.Li ’ s academic thoughts on dialectology,in order to make an objective and comprehensive evaluation of his academic thoughts on dialectology.
