Selective Interpretation Of Tomb Bricks Collected In The Ancient Bricks And Stone Sculptures Museum Of Fangxian And Analysis On The Preservation Value

Fangxian County is located at the south of Wudang Mountain in the northwest of Hubei Province,between the two cultural systems of China,the northern and southern cultures meet here,forming the open,inclusive and diverse cultural characteristics of Fangxian.Ancient Bricks and Stone Sculptures Museum of Fangxian is located in the Bali village 5 kilometers east of town.With the purpose of "carrying forward national culture and inheriting historical civilization",the museum has established and equipped with exhibition halls and warehouse to preserve and display local tomb bricks,stone carvings and folk cultural relics,and undertake the collection and protection of relevant cultural relics.It undertakes the function of collection,protection and display of related cultural relics,and becomes a base for academic research,social education and cultural exchange of such cultural heritages.At present,more than 3200 pieces of tomb bricks from the Han Dynasty to Tang Dynasty are preserved in the museum.Up to now,there have been a lot of scholars to conduct extensive and in-depth research on the tomb art.These studies are the important foundation of Fangxian tomb brick research.In order to further understand tomb brick material existing environment,the field trip has start in 2020 to study in the museum and several county places which brick tomb sites were found.As understanding brick tomb relics preservation,part of the brick material was selected,at the same time,history and culture of this area,so with the value of the restoration,protection and utilization of the tomb bricks in this area were analyzed and discussed briefly.Through the protection and research of tomb brick cultural relics in Fangxian,it is of positive significance to understand the development of agriculture,handicraft industry,folk custom and religious culture in this area.The use of relics protection technology is the guarantee for the protection of cultural relics in the area.It is a key measure for the protection of regional historical and cultural heritages to carry out public archaeological activities and enhance people’s awareness of the protection of cultural relics.It plays a positive role in cracking down on illegal acts of destroying cultural relics according to law,further enhancing the protection and utilization value of cultural heritages.
