On Female Images In Zhao Qingge’s Dramas

Zhao Qingge was a famous female writer in the period of the Republic of China.She always devoted herself to the creation of female literature.Her drama creation also took female as the protagonist,which showed her concern and care for the fate of women.At present,the academic research on Zhao Qingge is still in the initial stage,only a few papers mention the female images in Zhao Qingge’s works,and there is no special research.This thesis takes the female image in Zhao Qingge’s drama as the research object and tries to make a comprehensive and in-depth study on it.The introduction introduces the origin of the topic,the research status,research methods,writing framework and research value of this paper.The first chapter mainly focuses on Zhao Qingge’s female consciousness.The first section explores the awakening of Zhao Qingge’s female subject consciousness from her childhood experience.The second section discusses the embodiment of female subject consciousness from three aspects:hosting women’s reading periodicals,publishing women’s monographies and adapting A Dream of Red Mansions from the perspective of women.The third section probes into the causes of Zhao Qingge’s female subject consciousness by analyzing the context of historical times and personal growth experience.The second chapter studies the types of female images in Zhao Qingge’s dramas.This chapter divides the female images in Zhao Qingge’s dramas into three categories:heroic women who fight against the enemy and save the country;The awakening of women out of the barriers;Poor,pathetic,stupid woman.Combined with the specific works,this paper expounds and analyzes the characteristics of different types of female images.The third chapter analyzes the artistic creation of female images in Zhao Qingge’s drama works.This chapter is mainly analyzed from four aspects:First,the characters are depicted through stage prompts;Secondly,contrast is used to foil the characters;The third is to set up the conflict suspense to shape the character;Finally,the characters are interpreted by means of symbolic images.The conclusion points out the significance and shortcomings of female image building in Zhao Qingge’s dramas.
