A Research On The Images Of Rural Women In Jia Pingwa’s Novels In The New Century

The Chinese countryside is in a period of historical transformation,the traditional rural world is gradually declining,and at the same time a modern village is beginning to take shape.Rural women living in it are experiencing major changes from lifestyle to spiritual thinking,and the pulse of the times can be captured from rural women.Therefore,the rural women in the literary works of this period showed a different mental outlook from the past.This thesis takes the image of rural women in Jia Pingwa’s new century novels as the research content,explores the causes of the image of rural women,and examines the social thoughts,group consciousness,changes in values and cultural connotations behind the individual.The thesis is divided into five parts:The first part is the introduction.Explain the research purpose,research significance,research methods and current research status of this subject at home and abroad,and sort out the current research situation of this subject.The second part classifies the image of rural women.It analyzes and categorizes rural women from the perspectives of their fate,personalities,and values,and discusses the presentation of rural women’s images.The female images are divided into frustrated women,simple women and profit-seeking women,and further classified according to the specific life experiences of the female images.The third part explores the causes of the rural image.From the perspective of the writer’s creative psychology,the spiritual strength of rural women,and the social problems existing in rural society during the transition period,the reasons for the image of rural women are analyzed.The fourth part analyzes the contribution of rural women’s creation.Jia Pingwa’s portrayal of rural women in this period enriched the gallery of rural women’s image,and secondly broke the tradition of "plasticizing" rural women and opened up the tragic and magnificent beauty of the rural world.The fifth part is the conclusion,which mainly summarizes the research results of this thesis.At the same time,it also discusses the shortcomings of rural women’s modeling,and looks forward to Jia Pingwa’s women’s modeling.
