Rural Narrative In The New Century Modern Perspective

Since the new century, China’s rural culture has come to a new level. This paper is mainly based on the four novels of Jia Pingwa’s works QinQiang and GaoXing and Sun Huifen’s works ShangTangShu and JiKuanDeMaChe to explore the two writers---Jia Pingwa, Sun Huifen’s rural narrative in the new century (mainly with the full-length novels as examples) from the literary text, creation subject, value dimensions, aesthetic and rhetoric characteristics of angles, and research the two kinds of transitional writing of new century rural narrative and city narrative by comparative analysis, in order to grasp the current rural condition and to see ten years of development, tendency of rural narrative in the new century, and to explore the characteristics and strategies of rural narrative in the new century, and analyses those writers who devote themselves to rural narrative and their spirit in confusion and contradiction.Since the new century, the conflict of rural civilization and urban civilization, traditional and modern conflict have become the country’s focus of the narrator. The author thinks it is China’s the most cultural spirit and conflict in the performance of the content in this transitional society. Firstly, this paper simply clarified some concepts that refers to modernity and rural narrative in the introduction part. At the same time, it introduces the research status and significance of this paper. The body part of this paper is divided into four chapters, the first and second chapter set the ShangTangShu, QinQinag and GaoXing, JiKuanDeMaChe as examples. The former emphasizes the countryside, it mainly explores the changes of rural construction problems under the era of new century, and demonstrate the terminal and the significance of rural narrative. The latter mainly talks about cities, which is thinking the phenomenon of current peasants’ survival mentality under the background of urbanization and demonstrate the country’s embarrassing situation and contradiction when the urban and rural life intersect with each other. The third chapter is the focus in this paper, this chapter based on the discussion of modernity paradox, from these three aspects to explore rural narrative of the modernity paradox and rural narrative to the paradox of breakthrough in the new century, such as:from the countryside to the city, tradition and modern, men and women; In the fourth chapter, the author clarified the characteristics of rural narrative and strategies from the daily life narrative and intrapsychic writing, narrative structure and narrative perspective, narrative language and narrative figures of speech to describe JiaPingwa and Sun Huifen’s works. The final part of the article is to make a simple summary to summarize the advantages and disadvantages of rural narrative since the new century, at the same time it gives some encouragement and aspirations to the prospective development of rural narrative.
