Research On The Dissemination Of Music In Shijing During The Edo Period Of Japan

Shijing is the earliest collection of poems in our country,moreovere,the research on its’ literary nature after several generations has been abundant and mature.However,the ancient poetry and music are integrated,the music of Shijing is an inseparable part of Shijing culture,so it is necessary to study the music of Shijing.The music of Shijing in China was produced and developed in Western Zhou Dynasty.It was originally closely related to the ritual and music culture of the Western Zhou royalfamily.In the Spring and Autumn Period,the Zhou royal family declined.The position of Shijing’s music sank and was included into Confucianism education by Confucius.As the music of Shijing was built up on Confucianism,its’ development follow the rise and fall of Confucianism.When Confucianism was revived in the Song Dynasty,the musicof Shijing gradually revived.Taking benefit from the development of notation,the notation of Shijing appeared,with the birth of typography,it increases the effectiveness of Shijing spreading to other place,moreover,it spread to Japan and korean,especially at Japan’s Edo Period.Based on the historical facts in Japan,I used the methods of music philology and music communication for the research.The innovative pointof this research is that the currnet academic circles’ attention to the music of Shijing is gradually increasing,also the research results mainly focus on the study of variousaspects of the ancient Shijing music in China,However,the current phenomenon is that there are not many attention on the music transmission of Shijing.Therefore,the study of the dissemination of Shijing music in Japan during the Edo period can enrich the knowledge of the Shijing music,on the other hand,it can also enrich theresearch on the cultural exchanges of anceient music between China and Japan.This article is composed of three parts: introduction,main chapter and conclusion.The main chapter is divided into three parts.The first chapter firstly defines the domain of Shijing music,next sorts out the development process of Shijing music in my country from its’ propsperity to a period of decline,then gradually revives.It is precisely becauseof the revival of Shijing music after the Song Dynasty,so that it can spread to Japan’s Edo period.The second chapter is the specific exposition of the transmission of Shijing music in Japan,which mainly analyzes from the four aspects: spreading background,spreading path,spreading method and the acceptance.Chapter Three sets the field of vision based on cross-cultural spreading,and compares and analyzes the evolution of "Shijing" music on the soil of different cultures between China and Japan.Finally,through this research on the music of Shijing and the historical facts of its transmission to Japan,it reflects the important cultural value of the music of Shijing as a carrier of Chinese cultural dissemination outside the territory.
