Abstract/Summary:
In the history of Chinese printmaking,the early Qing Dynasty is a turning point from prosperity to decline.However,Chinese ancient printmaking also has an independent development system.Therefore,the printmaking in the early Qing Dynasty still retains the artistic characteristics of the prosperous period of the development of printmaking in the Ming Dynasty.At this point,the Shengyu Xiangjie printed by Liang Yannian`s Chengxuan hall in Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty can just serve as a classic case to investigate this turning point and continuity.This paper takes the Shengyu Xiangjie published by Liang Yannian in the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty as the research object,and focuses on the narrative relationship between the illustration format,artistic skills and image reproduction of its printmaking style.In the specific investigation,this paper fully draws lessons from the theories and methods of art sociology,iconology and narratology.On the one hand,it explores the social and political background behind the production and dissemination of the Shengyu Xiangjie,on the other hand,it explores the image theme,image narration,graphic relationship and other characteristics of the print illustrations of the Shengyu Xiangjie.Through the above exploration,this paper summarizes the characteristic laws and paradigm significance of the printmaking illustrations of the Oracle image interpretation in many aspects such as production,narration and representation,and analyzes its dual significance for the story reproduction and the unique meaning of realistic visual symbols,especially the important role of its expression method of "Qingjian" in the text composition of the Shengyu Xiangjie,And the hidden concept of time and space behind it,so as to make an overall grasp and exploration of the printmaking illustrations of the Shengyu Xiangjie.
