Research On The Design Of Paper Media Reading Experience In The Context Of Digital Media

Throughout thousands of years of human history,paper media has always played an important role as the main reading medium,assuming the responsibility of enhancing personal literacy,promoting social progress and passing on human civilization.With the advent of the digital era,various media have developed rapidly,creating new features that combine traditional industries with modern technology.In such a social context,digital media,a new carrier for recording and disseminating information,has emerged,presenting information such as graphics and text in the pages of electronic devices using technological means and design techniques,relying on its advantages of easy reading,low cost and high interactivity to win the favor of more readers.However,the traditional paper media’s enduring cultural heritage and rich design expressions also predestine the inevitability and necessity of paper reading.With the in-depth study of reading experience,the paper media is also actively looking for new development mode,based on the full understanding and respect of text information,using explicit elements and implicitly oriented language in visual design to lead viewers to more orderly and hierarchical information.This paper first analyzes the changes in paper media design and reading behavior based on the social context of digital media,and combines the graphic design and framing design cases of famous designers and the creative works of artists.Then,design examples are cited to analyze the elements and content orientation in paper media and the implicit factors that influence reading in paper media,and to elaborate the interaction between the two in the process of users’ reading.Finally,the design cases are combined to explore and study the design orientation of paper media reading experience,to illustrate the inevitability of the existence of paper reading and the importance of the interdependence between paper media and digital media,and to provide reference values for the further development of paper media reading experience design nowadays.
