| In recent years,artificial intelligence has developed rapidly.It has changed our way of life and will play an irreplaceable role in the future world.Meanwhile,many scientific and technological texts urgently need to be translated into Chinese for the exchange of domestic scholars and entrepreneurs.Scientific translation can effectively promote the development of science and technology in China,and its importance is self-evident.The translation materials of this practice report are selected from the first two chapters of The AI-First Company: How to Compete and Win with Artificial Intelligence of Ash Fontana,an internationally renowned venture investor.This book is the compass of entrepreneurs in the artificial intelligence industry.The author of the book answers the questions of entrepreneurship in the artificial intelligence industry from a rational perspective.It is an excellent science and technology book.The purpose of scientific and technological text translation is to convey the information of the original text,which is in line with the core concept of Skopos theory,that is,the most important factor in the translation process is the purpose of the overall translation behavior.The author completed the translation practice under the guidance of Skopos theory.In this report,the author expounded the translation task itself and the difficulties encountered in the translation process,selected representative examples in translation practice for case analysis,explained the guiding role of Skopos theory in translation practice,and summarized the application of four translation methods（amplification,free translation,inversion and division）,in order to improve the author’s translation ability.The author found that when translating scientific and technological texts,we should pay attention to the accuracy and objectivity of the translation,truly reproduce the original information.Through this translation practice report,the author found that it was feasible to translate scientific and technological texts under the guidance of Skopos theory.The purpose of this practice is to provide readers interested in artificial intelligence with Chinese versions of the first two chapters of the original book for learning.At the same time,the author hopes to provide reference and enlightenment for the Chinese translation of relevant texts. |
