A Report On The E-C Translation Of Impact Of The Covid-19 Pandemic On University Finances ——Based On The "Comprehension,Expression And Adaption" Analytical Framework

Based on the project the author participated in during her postgraduate study--"Research on the Trend of International Study in the Post-epidemic Era and China’s Policy Response to Studying Abroad",she translated the research report Impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic on University Finances into Chinese,and wrote this translation practice report.This report adopts the analytical framework "Comprehension,Expression and Adaption" proposed by Professor Li Changshuan,supplemented by relevant translation theories,summarizes and analyzes the typical problems in the translation process,and suggests corresponding translation strategies.As to comprehension,based on the features of the source text,the author analyzes the difficult points to understand this kind of text from three aspects: professional terms,charts and background information,and details how to thoroughly understand the original text through reading parallel texts and critical thinking;the expression part focuses on "three accordance",that is,in accord with the original intention,text norms and Chinese expression habits;the adaption part shows how to flexibly adjust words,long sentences and punctuation to deal with the readability of the translation and the acceptability among readers.This report is divided into five chapters.Chapter 1 is the introduction part,which covers the research background,research content and research significance.Chapter 2introduces the translation task,including translation materials and the translation process.Chapter 3 summarizes the "Comprehension,Expression and Adaption" framework.Chapter 4 analyzes the cases based on the CEA framework.Chapter 5reviews the practice,illustrates the limitations and points out future prospects.
