Worker’s Discovery:The Rising Of Worker Consciousness In Intellectual Circle Around May The Fourth Movement

In the traditional Chinese society,it is the consensus of the traditional scholar that headworkers are noble but physical labors are humble,and on this basis,the social structure which composed of the different social classer such as scholar,farmer,artisan and merchant.Around the time of the May 4th movement,gradually,people began to pay attention to workers and advocated their values.At the same time,different people’s ideas interact with each other.Whether the pursuit of "humanity" in the traditional sense,or democracy in the real sense,or national self-preservation and self-reliance,all of these prompted people to turn their eyes to the lower class and focus on the workers,which prompted the sudden rise of "worker consciousness" in China around the May 4th movement.They focus on workers is not just about reassessing and valuing them.Behind the rise of worker consciousness lies a change in people’s view of the future world and the choice of the road to it.Previously,the way of reforming China by Western constitutional democracy was gradually replaced,and relying on workers to transform society became an important option in the intellectual circle.At the same time,the confused role orientation of workers after the disintegration of the Four civil Society has been constantly reinterpreted and re-understand in the agitation of the ideological trend.The connotation of workers also tends to be unified gradually from the confusion and diversity after the May fourth movement,and falls on the modern industrial worker.After the May fourth movement,the "workers" were in the process of been paid attention to,recognized and propagandized,which innovated the ideological cognition of the people at that time.They were constantly entrusted with the task of transforming the society and building the future.All these affecting people’s imagination of the future and their choice to future road.By combing the historical context around the May fourth Movement,this paper explores how workers from the invisible man to the man of the moment.This is the process in which workers are discovered and the process of the rise of workers,consciousness as well.
