An Exploratory Study On Social Work’s Involvement In Youth’s Ideological Guidance

Youth is a strong backbone of national rejuvenation and national development,representing the hope and future of the country.How the ideological status of young people is related to the success or failure of socialist construction,and the ideological guidance of young people is an important responsibility of the Communist Youth League.In order to strengthen the ideological guidance of the youth in the community,the Beijing Municipal Youth League Committee takes the youth in the community club as the position,unites and agglomerates the youth in the community through social workers,and makes contributions to the correct and comprehensive ideological guidance of the youth in the community.The nature of ideological guidance and the characteristics of young people determine that this work is full of complexity.The exploration of community youth exchange for ideological guidance of young people is just starting.While community youth exchange can play its special advantages,there are also some problems.Based on the interviews with the staff of Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League,the supervision of Community Youth Exchange and social workers,this study summarizes the exploration of community youth exchange for youth ideological guidance.The main dilemmas are: unable to understand the real concept and intention of ideological guidance activities;thinking set problems brought by task indicators;the professionalism of social workers to be enhanced;Community Youth Exchange Social workers’ self-orientation is not clear;evaluation indicators are difficult to quantify;personnel recruitment;activities are difficult to carry out continuously;regional resource utilization is insufficient and so on.This paper analyzes the existing problems and the causes behind them.The main reasons are as follows: lack of explanation of ideological guidance activities;lack of understanding of task indicators and youth’s understanding of ideological guidance;imperfect training mechanism;clarification of social worker’s identity by community youth pool and guidance of social workers by supervision;lack of operation and support center of the Communist Youth League and Municipal Committee The evaluation system is not perfect;the understanding of the youth in the jurisdiction is not enough;the control of the purpose of the activity is not enough;social workers are not aware of the use of resources.This paper summarizes the above difficulties and causes,and carries out research,based on this part of the tentative suggestions,in order to better promote the community youth pool to optimize the ideological guidance work,better serve the youth,agglomerate the youth,guide the youth.
