The main focus of this dissertation is to study the reasons why Turkish Jews wanted to emigrate Israel in the second half of the 20 th century, and divide the stages and analyzes the problem they must deal with,by using the method of historical analysis and literature analysis. The first part analyzes the history and situation of the Jews in the Ottoman Empire and the Republic of Turkey.Under the Millet system, the Jewish in the Ottoman Empire owned enjoyed more relax and freedom. After the founding of the Turkish Republic,Jews changed from community autonomy to citizens of the country.Under the atmosphere of "Turkize",minorities gradually lost their original advantage, their living conditions became bad,and they also encountered more anti-Semitic movements in Turkey. The second chapter gives a detailed description of the realistic reasons of the three stages of Turkish Jewish immigration, including internal and external reasons. The main push of the Turkish Jews emigrating to Israel was the anti-Semitic movement in Turkey. The positive immigration policy of Israel and the national emotion of the Jews in the world after the founding of the People’s Republic of Israel was also the pulling forces. It is also influenced,of course,by the context of Arab-Israeli relations and the Cold War.The third chapter discusses the social status and influences of Turkish Jews after emigrating to Israel.Turkish Jews in Israel’s status has the obvious difference when compared with other Jews coming from other regions, especially compared with Ashkenazi Jews.Turkish Jews was "neglected" for a long time, and life at the bottom of society, they are absent in the upper position. These Jews not only provided Israel with a large labor force, promoted its economic and cultural development, but also strengthened the army’s fighting capacity and consolidated the nascent regime. The fourth chapter focuses on the many problems that Turkish Jews faced after emigrating to Israel. But Turkish Jews, who emigrated early were poorly educated, and work at the bottom of society by providing labour for their livelihood,so they were "neglected" for a long time.Meanwhile, they also faced many difficulties, such as the different language and the unequal status. The influx of large numbers of immigrants had resulted in resource shortage and tension between people and land. Therefore, the Israeli government had constantly adjusted and improved its immigration policy in order to better accommodate these immigrants and realize rational use of human resources. In the second half of the 20 th century,Turkish Jews emigrated to Israel was not only the continuation of "aliyah",but also the choice made by Turkish Jews under the reality pressure and looked for emotional sustenance. It was an important part of the history of Turkish immigration,an important part of the post-founding wave of Israeli immigration, and a part of the world immigration problem, more important,it was the lateral manifestation of the change of Turkish-Israeli relations.Research on this issue can help us better understand the situation of Turkish Jews both in Turkey and Israel, and deepen our understanding of international migration.
