Analysis Of Public Opinion On "Militarization" Of South China Sea Island And Reef Construction

In recent years,public opinion on the construction of islands and reefs in the South China Sea and its "militarization" constitute the protruding part of public opinion in the South China Sea.The construction of islands and reefs in the South China Sea is a normal development behavior within the scope of sovereign rights and interests,but the United States and other countries believe that the construction of islands and reefs in the South China Sea has increased tension and has a tendency of "militarization ".In this context,the construction of South China Sea islands and reefs and the formation mechanism of "militarization" public opinion in the South China Sea public opinion is undoubtedly an extremely important subject in the process of safeguarding rights and maintaining stability in the South China Sea.At present,academic circles have produced a lot of research results in the construction of islands and reefs in the South China Sea and public opinion in the South China Sea,but the research results on the public opinion on "Militarization" of south China Sea reef construction are less.Therefore,this paper combines international relations and communication,and interdisciplinary analysis of the relationship between the construction of islands and reefs and the "militarization" public opinion in the South China Sea.As the initiator of the "militarization" public opinion in the South China Sea,the US,Vietnam and Philippines greatly affect the trend of public opinion in the South China Sea.In order to clarify the characteristics,causes,formation mechanism and influence of the "militarization" public opinion in the South China Sea is helpful to analyze the relationship between the construction of the South China Sea islands and reefs and the "militarization" public opinion.By studying the public opinion on "Militarization" of south China Sea reef construction,it is found that the existing " militarization " public opinion in the South China Sea is the public opinion constructed by theUnited States,Vietnam,Philippines and other countries based on the discourse system of the South China Sea,which has the function of misleading the information audience.The reasons and contents of the South China Sea public opinion disseminated by the United States,Vietnam and the Philippines are different.The United States is the main influence factor of "militarization" public opinion in the South China Sea,while Vietnam and the Philippines play the role of "followers ".In view of this,in addition to doing a good job in the construction of islands and reefs,it is necessary to construct its own discourse system and deal with the "militarization" public opinion in the South China Sea.
