| The Syrian Social National Party(SSNP)was the first party in the Middle East to make "Greater Syriaism" a political target and a guiding ideology. The Syrian Social National Party, which has been under the pressure of colonialism and local separatism in its development, has always adhered to "Greater Syriaism".The emergence of the Syrian Social National Party has played an important role in the political development of Syria and has accelerated the process of Syrian independence. From 1932 to 1949,the development of the Syrian Social National Party was regarded as an early stage of development, and this paper studies the early development of the Syrian Social National Party. This paper is divided into four chapters, the first three chapters are the background of the establishment of the Syrian Social National Party, the early development process, ideological ideas, reform ideas and organizational structure, the last chapter of the party’s development after 1949 and the party’s influence, limitations and arguments. The emergence of the Syrian Social National Party is the product of the continuous development of Syrian social politics. The region was long ruled by different regimes until the20 th century, and the local population was desisted, but the region has been seen as a whole until then. With the establishment of the French mandate, the "Greater Syriaism",the influence of Arab nationalism, and the 1925-1927 Druze anti-French uprising,Antoun Saadeh founded the Syrian Social National Party for the independence of Syria was established in1932.The early development course of the Syrian Social National Party is divided into three stages.1932-1935 was its "underground" phase of activity,1936-1947 was its growth phase, and 1947 was its low tide phase.Since its establishment, the Syrian Social National Party has introduced a series of basic principles and reform ideas to realize the revival of Syrian social nationalism, and has formulated an efficient and authoritarian organizational mechanism to ensure that the party effectively promotes social change.Under the initiative of the Syrian Social National Party, the idea of establishing a "Syria" state is deeply rooted in the hearts of the people, and the ideas and ideas of the party leaders, the form of the party’s organization and the political objective of pursuing "Greater Syria" unity have had an important impact on the political development of Syria. However, the separate British-French mandate of the "Greater Syria" area after the end of World War I made it difficult to achieve the goal of unification of the "Greater Syria" region,so the political objectives of the Syrian Social National Party did not meet the needs of the times. Moreover, the party’s high degree of authoritarianism has limited the development of intra-Party democracy and become an obstacle to the party’s continued development. |
