An Assistance Research Of Syrian Refugees From The Perspective Of Social Support Theory

It is obvious that the Middle East has become a global melting pot of contradictions and conflicts,which result from territory,religion,oil and race disputes.The emergence of refugees,the consequence of inter-state or civil contradictions and conflicts,is difficult to find a solution.The fact that bloody violence arising from anti-government protest,happened on 15 th March,2011,brought about five million Syrian Refugees shocked the whole world.Firstly,it introduces Social Support Theory and try to use its concept to discuss Syrian refugees assistance situation through analyzing economic,politic and social assistance by different support subjects.Secondly,the grass roots of Syrian refugees is the civil war triggered by sectarian strife as well as various social problems such as infrastructure destruction,economic deterioration,etc.caused by war.The huge overflow of Syrian refugees not only burdened hosting countries' economy and security capacity,but also hampered international assistance all over the world.Thus,the importance and urgency of social supporting Syrian refugees becomes more and more necessary and crucial.Thirdly,as the International Community are consisted of various states which can be counted as main social support subjects,thus,regarding to Syrian refugees assistance situation,three social support subjects including great countries,the Middle East countries and international organization are divided to analyze it.In terms of great countries,it is focused on the United States which plays an import role in the Middle East,Germany with strong economic strength and open refugee policy and China which actively involved in international humanitarian relief operations.In terms of the Middle East countries,it mainly analyzes the assistance by Jordan which adopts relatively open refugee policy,Lebanon which hosts one-fourth population Syrian refugees and Turkey which ranks first in the Major Refugee-hosting Countries List.In terms of international organization,it gives the priority to the United Nations and its related organizations.Fourthly,it also analyzes challenges when assisting Syrian refugees from three subjects of greats countries,the Middle East countries and international organization.It respectively includes differences among countries because of their national interests,economic development restrictions in the Middle East and the plight of human rights protection and implementation.Finally,on basis of analyzing the existing problems like war root,complexity,resettlement and integration of Syrian refugees,it slightly state the prospect of Syrian refugee assistance.
