Marx And Engels’ Educational Thought And Its Contemporary Enlightenment

Education is an important cornerstone of national rejuvenation and social progress,and plays an important role in the development of the country and the nation.Marx and Engels have been paying close attention to educational issues in their long-term revolutionary practice and theoretical work,have used the basic principles of historical materialism to investigate educational issues.There are many profound expositions on education in Marx’s and Engels’ works,which embody their rich educational implications and realize great changes in the history of educational thought.At present,China is in an important period of the new journey of building a socialist modernized country in an all-round way.Therefore,it is of great theoretical value and practical significance to study the educational thoughts of Marx and Engels at this time.Based on the interpretation of Marx and Engels’ classic works,this paper probes into the summary of the critical contents of Marx and Engels’ text works on the education of capitalist society and combines the background of the times and practical problems to think and expound Marx and Engels’ educational thoughts.This paper discusses Marx and Engels’ educational thought and its contemporary enlightenment from the following three aspects:The first part discusses the practical and theoretical basis of the formation of Marx’s and Engels’ educational thoughts.Starting from the time when Marx and Engels lived,the time when Marx and Engels lived coincided with the heyday of the development of large-scale machine industry.At the same time,the development of natural science also provided a scientific premise for Marx and Engels’ advanced thought and a background for the emergence of Marx and Engels’ educational thought.Marx and Engels criticized and inherited the theoretical sources of utopian socialism and other philosophers’ thoughts,and then expounded the theoretical sources of their educational thoughts.The second part expounds the main contents of Marx’s educational thought.First of all,Marx and Engels investigated the productive forces,relations of production and social system,and discussed the nature,functions and objects of education respectively.Secondly,Marx and Engels pointed out a series of problems existing in education in capitalist society by excavating the general laws of education,and advocated that if the proletariat wants to get rid of the oppression of the bourgeoisie,it must break the unfairness of education in capitalist society,then eliminate private ownership.Finally,it summarizes Marx and Engels’ vision of future social education.Marx and Engels pointed out that the future society can guarantee people’s equal right to receive education,so that education is fair,education is combined with productive labor,and realizing people’s free and all-round development is the value orientation.The third part discusses the contemporary enlightenment of Marx’s and Engels’ educational thoughts by deeply analyzing Marx’s and Engels’ educational thoughts,combining Marx’s thoughts on the all-round development of human beings and labor education with the reality of education in China.First,deepen the understanding of Xi Jinping’s important expositions on education;Second,deeply understand the important role of education in socialist modernization;Third,we should adhere to the socialist direction and develop education.
