Research On Community Home Care Service Under The Background Of Population Aging

The aging of the population has a profound impact on social and economic development and is a staged reflection of social development.Our country is facing an increasingly serious population aging problem,which is not conducive to the stability of social development.Based on Our country’s national conditions,the community-based care-at-home approach is highly consistent with traditional Chinese culture and family concepts,and has now become an important type of life in the old age under the background of population aging.As the capital city of Xinjiang,the degree of population aging is aggravating in Urumqi.Due to the fact that Urumqi is a less developed city in western China,the traditional old-age care model has been challenged by many factors.It is urgent for us to think deeply about how to solve the problems such as weak infrastructure,non-standard service,low quality and insufficient supply of elderly service in Urumqi City under the pressure of aging population.Taking effective measures according to local conditions to build an old-age service model that suits the region can effectively promote the overall social stability and economic construction and development of Urumqi.Based on the current status of population aging in the Urumqi Economic and Technological Development Zone(Toutunhe District),this research conducted an in-depth investigation and analysis of the relevant institutions,management committees and community leaders in the district,as well as the residents of 7 communities.According to the survey,many problems have been found out,such as the government home care system and mechanism are not sound,subjective initiative is insufficient,policy support is insufficient,market supply services are insufficient,community elderly service infrastructure development is lagging,single service content cannot meet diversified needs,community elderly service functions are relatively weak,lack of professional services,insufficient publicity of community home care services,and low awareness of the whole people for the elderly.To solve the problem,the following suggestions are put forward: The first is to improve the government’s home care system and mechanism;the other is to improve service level by collecting information and establishing a data platform while integrating various resources in the jurisdiction to improve and standardize management;the third is to effectively broaden the breadth and accuracy of services to enrich the service content;the fourth is to actively promote and guide filial piety and respect for the elderly to form a good social trend.It is hoped to provide experience and reference for future community elderly care work in Urumqi Economic and Technological Development Zone(Toutunhe District).
