| Facing fierce competition on talents,many countries have put attention and resources on attracting them,especially for high-level talents.In the past a few years,new immigration policies have been consistently issued,which have laid a solid foundation for our skilled immigration system.While confirming the achievements,we should also recognize that if foreign talents cannot receive the necessary support and guidance after entry,their survival and development will be restricted.It will be hard for a foreigner to create an emotional attachment to the host country with unstable residency expectation.This is not only detrimental to the contribution of skilled immigrants to the economic and social development,but may also make it possible for them to develop their own ethnic space.This will undoubtedly bring new pressures and challenges to our social management.Only by taking their integration status and the challenges they pose to our country into consideration as a whole,can we take appropriate measures to improve the skilled immigration management system.It will help further promote social stability and economic development,protecting their rights and interests as well.With a lack of the awareness of providing immigration services,the concept and mode of current skilled immigration management is relatively conservative and unenlightened.To lead in the international talent race,attracting skilled immigrants is only the beginning of our journey.It is necessary for our government to explore new methods to help them overcome their obstacles,and let them settle in our country smoothly.Beside analyzing the problems on our current skilled immigration management system,I attempt to propose a comprehensive integration management system framework under the guidance of Social Integration Theory.In the dimension of cultural,the precedent procedure of the elimination of cultural differences is set up,and in other dimensions,I also put forward some suggestions.We should ask for and measure the qualified personnel’s capabilities in order to enhance their adaptability after entry.Furthermore,we should also provide the talents with comfortable housing services and straighten out their various social relations with the local community.Through these methods,skilled immigrants can be better integrated. |
