The "12 Articles" proposed by the Central Committee In the past twenty years or so,the teachers of Guangxi University for Nationalities have actively explored and constructed the school’s "ethnic theory and policy" teaching material system under extremely difficult conditions.Based on the first school-based textbook "Basic Knowledge on Ethnic Issues" published in 1984,the school’s ethnic theory and policy teaching team may follow the nationally compiled syllabus for exploration and continuous improvement;or combine their own scientific research experience to find another way.Seeking breakthroughs,continuous innovation and improvement in the main content,layout framework,ideological theory and other aspects of the teaching materials,successfully compiled several high-quality ethnic theory and policy teaching materials,and successfully completed the teaching tasks of the subject in various periods.The publication of these textbooks has laid a solid foundation for the follow-up construction of the Guangxi Minzu University’s ethnic theory and policy textbooks.Its successful experience such as being upright and innovative,adhering to the spirit of hard exploration,forming a writing team with a multi-disciplinary background,and broadening the writing perspective,is still worthy of our reference.Of course,we should also realize that under the historical background that the socialist national theory system with Chinese characteristics has not yet formed,these textbooks inevitably have certain historical limitations in their content.At present,the "ethnic theory and policy" courses of relevant colleges and universities across the country are being optimized in the direction of "building a sense of community of the Chinese nation",and relevant colleges and universities are compiling handouts around main tasks in accordance with the spirit of the new era.The relevant historical process,successful experience and historical limitations explored in this article should be able to arouse the attention and thinking of course builders in the bottleneck of transformation and upgrading.
