Research On The Factors Affecting The Construction Of Harmonious Police-Citizen Relations And Countermeasures

Harmonious Police-Citizen Relations in the new era are an important part of a harmonious society.They are also an important guarantee for police officers to carry out their core job,improve the quality of work,and promote social stability and order.At present,public security agencies are facing problems such as insufficient police force,complicated help services,strong awareness of the rights of the masses,and full transparency of the law enforcement environment,which have a certain impact on the promotion of harmonious Police-Citizen Relations.In view of this,this article attempts to use empirical research to analyze the influencing factors of building a harmonious Police-Citizen relationship through factor analysis and regression analysis.To understand which factors affect residents’ perceptions and attitudes,and to examine the impact of these factors on Police-Citizen Relations.To provide the basis for the proper handling of the current relationship between the police and the public.Through in-depth understanding of the needs of the people,public security agencies will proactively broaden the communication channels between the police and the public and form "two-way interactions" with society and citizens.The research in this article is divided into three phases:First,based on the Theory of Double-Way Symmetry and Theory of Excellence,a model of influencing factors of harmonious police-civilian relations was constructed.By compiling a questionnaire of 50 items,the residents of Shanghai A district were taken as the object of the survey,and203 valid questionnaires were eventually recovered.Second,use SPSS 25.0 as a tool to conduct a feasibility test and use exploratory factor analysis to extract the main influencing factors from the listed variables,which are organizational culture,human resources,public security credibility,public security environment,communication mode,interactive feedback.Using the above six influencing factors as independent variables,residents’ cognition,and residents’ attitudes as dependent variables,a regression equation was established.Four factors finally passed the significance test and entered the regression equation,which explained the impact on residents’ sense of security and satisfaction.The degree in descending order is: organizational culture,public security environment,communication mode,public security credibility;the four factors have an impact on residents’ trust and understanding,and the degree of impact in descending order is : Human resources,communication mode,public security environment,interactive feedback.Third,through a comparative analysis of the current situation of Police-Citizen Relations at home and abroad,combined with the conclusions of regression analysis,the author proposes targeted construction through internal optimization,broadening two-way communication channels,strengthening publicity mechanisms,and strengthening feedback mechanisms.
