An Analysis Of The Reason Why Scotland Wants To Be "Independence In EU"

In the late 1990s,in order to relief the separatist of the Scottish,the British government agreed to decentralize power and found the Scottish Parliament.However,this reform failed to stop the Scottish independence process.Finally there is independent referendum in 2014.Why does Scotland seek independence? The traditional interpretations focus on ethnic identity,economic development,and constitutional reform.This paper sets focus on the level that has been overlooked by traditional interpretations – the integration of the Scottish economy by the EU market and the community’s ability to help Scotland gain governance.When Scotland has the willingness to “independence in the EU” and the ability to mobilize its people to support “independence in the EU”,it is not surprising that the rapid rise of the independence movement and even the outbreak of the independent referendum.
