| China’s civil servant examination and admission system has been running smoothly for 26 years,which has provided a large number of well-trained talents and fresh blood for the Party and government organs of China.College students constitute the main force of the civil service examination,millions of whom participate in the civil service examination every year to compete for limited positions.This paper tries to answer what factors affect their willingness to take the civil servant examination,what characteristics the college students with the willingness to take the civil servant examination present,and how the variables interact with each other.On the basis of reviewing and sorting out relevant domestic and foreign related matters,this research conducted interviews with college students who are willing to take the examinations and college students who do not,after when human capital and social capital are selected as explanatory variables,and risk tolerance is used as an intermediary variable.Then this research build a research model,and design questionnaires to assist follow-up empirical research.Based on the results of 507 questionnaire survey data,this research conducted reliability and validity tests on the questionnaire data to ensure that the questionnaire is reasonable,and analyzed the differences and relevance of the questionnaire survey results and test the factors of public examination willingness.The conclusion is that demographic variables such as education,school type,professional category,registered residence and so on will all affect the willingness of college students to take the exam.In the employment market,the students with stronger professional and non-substitutability will have lower willingness to take the public examinations.Human capital will have a positive effect on College Students’ willingness to take the exam.The larger the scale of social capital and the higher the top of the grid,the higher the willingness of public examination;risk tolerance plays an intermediary role in the impact of human capital and social capital on the willingness of public examination;college students with high human capital and social capital have higher risk tolerance,and risk tolerance plays an important role in the impact of human capital and social capital.It shows that optimizing the economic development environment,reducing the awareness of employment risk and improving the ability to deal with the risk are conducive to the return of civil servant fever to rationality.Based on the data analysis and research conclusions,this study puts forward the following suggestions to the government,universities,society and individual college students from three aspects: improving the human capital of college students,standardizing the operation mechanism of social capital,optimizing the environment and improving the risk response ability,strengthening the professionalism of human capital,paying attention to vocational education and career planning,improving the employability of college students.To be more specific,the operation mechanism of social capital should be standardized to strengthen the cooperation between colleges and enterprises,which can provide multiple employment channels,and the government ought to creating a social atmosphere of rational job selection social,speed up the industrial upgrading to optimize the supply and demand structure of economic development talent training and reduce the employment risk expectation,the students should improve the risk coping ability so as to choose jobs rationally. |
