| The development of rural tourism covers various aspects such as agricultural industry,rural ecology and farmers’ prosperity,which plays an important role in supporting and guaranteeing the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy.However,at present,the government still has some shortcomings in promoting the development of rural tourism,and the potential of the industry has not been fully aroused.Therefore,it is an urgent need to carry out research on the transformation of the government’s functions in promoting the development of rural tourism.Firstly,this paper summarizes the theoretical research on rural tourism in domestic and foreign academic circles by consulting literature and case analysis.Secondly,the concept of rural tourism is basically defined;the market failure,public goods and other theories involved in this research are explained,and the functions of the government in promoting rural tourism are analyzed.On the basis of this,the paper summarizes the advantages and the current situation of rural tourism development in Dongying District,as well as the functions and achievements of the government in promoting rural tourism development.Meantime,the paper analyzes the existing problems and causes.Finally,based on the typical experience of rural tourism development at home and abroad,the paper puts forward some suggestions on how to promote the transformation of government functions in Dongying District.Through the research,this paper suggests that Dongying District has unique advantages in developing rural tourism,but the government function is not optimized enough,so that the development has not yet started.This paper puts forward 10 suggestions from the three aspects: rationalizing government functions,scientific planning,and stimulating market vitality,in order to provide some reference for the development of rural tourism in Dongying District as well as samples for the transformation and development of similar resource-based cities. |
