In recent years,the party and government have attached great importance to the group of veterans.The return of veterans to local life is faced with problems such as the environment and the transformation of social roles,which will inevitably affect their career adaptability.Career adaptability refers to the ability of the individual to adapt and coordinate with the changes in the career roles,career tasks and career situations faced by individuals when they are in different stages of career development.In the past,research on the psychological quality of military personnel mainly focused on the two groups of recruits and active-duty military personnel,while the research on veterans was relatively small,and the content was more research on the psychological conditions of veterans,and related influence paths and influences.There is not much research on the mechanism and other aspects.Therefore,strengthening the research on the career adaptability and related factors of veterans can supplement and enrich the theories related to career adaptability on the one hand;on the other hand,it is also conducive to promoting the veterans to complete the role transition as soon as possible,and enhance the social adaptability,which is a sound and perfect It provides a basis for the service guarantee system and related policies and systems for veterans.Based on the analysis of the literature,this study first used the "Career Adaptability Scale" to survey 690 veterans to understand the current status and characteristics of the veterans’ career adaptability;then adopted the "Comprehensive Social Support Scale" and "Positive Psychology"."Capital Scale","Wallance Self-Concept Measurement Scale" and "Career Adaptability Scale" investigate the comprehension of social support,psychological capital,and self-concept of veterans to explore the comprehension of social support,psychological capital,self-concept and career adaptation.The relationship between comprehension of social support,psychological capital,self-concept,and career adaptability of the chained intermediary model is tested,revealing the relationship between the comprehension of social support and career adaptability and the mechanism of action of veterans.Then,the interview method was used to gain in-depth understanding of the relevant factors affecting the career adaptability of veterans,and supplement the questionnaire research.Finally,according to related theories,an intervention plan was designed to intervene on the selected 22 veterans.Analyze the data and get the following results:(1)Retired soldiers scored higher on the career resilience questionnaire survey.(2)Among the demographic variables,there are significant differences in the life adaptability of veterans in urban and rural areas,length of service,education level,and type of retirement.(3)Comprehend that social support cannot directly predict the career adaptability of veterans,but it can indirectly predict the career adaptability of veterans through the independent intermediary effect of psychological capital and self-concept and the chain intermediary effect of psychological capital and self-concept.(4)The questionnaire scores of veterans in the experimental group after the intervention were higher than those before the intervention,and there was a significant difference in career self-confidence.Comprehensive research,the conclusion is as follows:Veterans have an upper-middle level of career adaptability,and they understand that social support can affect their career adaptability through psychological capital and self-concept.In the design of group counseling,the career adaptability intervention program for veterans is helpful to improve the career confidence of veterans.
