Research On Community Correction In Peixian County,Xuzhou City

Community correction is a punishment execution method born in western countries.As a Non-Imprisoned punishment,compared with traditional imprisonment,community correction has many advantages in promoting the smooth return of criminals to society,saving social resources,preventing and reducing the recurrence of crimes.After nearly 20 years of development,community correction in China has also embarked on the right track and professional road.In recent years,the judicial organs of Peixian county has made a ceaseless effort to carry out community correction work,although some achievements have been made,but there are still many problems.This thesis uses interdisciplinary research method,comparative research method and investigation research method to study the community correction work in Peixian County,and finds that there are many problems,such as single subject,unstable working team,low social participation and acceptance degree,and no obvious correction effect.The reasons for the above problems are as follows: lack of awareness and attention to community correction;Law enforcement personnel positioning is fuzzy;Lack of popularity and publicity;The means are single and the intensity is insufficient.Suggest to reference and draw lessons from part of the content of the new public management theory to improve the governance ability of Peixian county grass roots government;Optimize organizational structure;Promoting the participation of social forces;Improve the community correction security system in Peixian County.
