| Korean overseas Chinese are natural persons who reside in North Korea and have Chinese nationality.In the course of the development of the Chinese nation,the overseas Chinese in North Korea have played an important role.They have exerted a huge influence on the motherland and the country of their residents in regional economic construction and ethnic cultural exchanges.The media image of overseas Chinese in North Korea is a microcosm of an era,and its development and changes reflect the development and requirements of the era.This research is based on the group of overseas Chinese in North Korea,studying media’s presentation of the image of overseas Chinese in North Korea through the analysis of news reports about overseas Chinese in North Korea in the Kuomintang-ruled area during the Republic of China.On the one hand,it contributes to take a new look at this historical group.On the other hand,it can also help us find the limitations and problems in the media image construction of North Korean overseas Chinese in the news reports of the Kuomintang-ruled area during the Republic of China.The author puts more emphysis on the news reports about overseas Chinese in North Korea from 1931 to 1945 to find out the the law of development it represents and then graspe the changes of media by combing and investigating the changes in the media image of overseas Chinese in North Korea in the over ten years.The introduction first explains the relevant research background and significance,and explains some key concepts,research status and research methods.The second part is the historical changes of the image of overseas Chinese in North Korea.This part is to pave the way for the next part by sorting out the profile of overseas Chinese in North Korea and the background of media reports on overseas Chinese in North Kore.The third part is the presentation of the media image of overseas Chinese in North Korea in news reports,divided by time period,showing its characteristics in different stages;at the same time,it states and summarizes the characteristics of the media image.The fourth part is a detailed analysis of the media reports of overseas Chinese in North Korea.It collects the data from the three major categories of report theme,report genre and reporting tendency,and compares the results with early relevant reports in North Korea to further highlight the particularity of the images of these group of people from1931 to 1945.The fifth part is the reflection on the media image construction of overseas Chinese in North Korea.It analyzes the limitations and problems of media image construction and points out the shortcomings of the media image construction of overseas Chinese in North Korea.The sixth part is the conclusion,summarizing the evolution of the media image of overseas Chinese in North Korea in the news reports of the Kuomintang Control Area and related characteristics.This thesis tries to restore the true image of overseas Chinese in North Korea in history by analyzing and discussing the overseas Chinese in North Korea presented by the media.The media image of the overseas Chinese in North Korea is not static.It has commonalities and individualities at various stages,and it was influenced by many aspects,including the existence of the media’s own position and political and economic reasons. |
