Research purpose: Good strength and speed quality are important conditions for firefighters to successfully complete rescue tasks.At present,grassroots firefighters in China have problems such as lack of clear training goals and basis for strength and speed training,unsystematic training arrangements,and unreasonable training methods.Therefore,based on the analysis of the strength and speed requirements of firefighters,this study explores the feasibility of complex training in strength and speed training for firefighters,and designs a 12-week complex training program for empirical investigation.Research methods: This study uses literature data method,field observation method,and expert interview method to understand firefighter strength and speed work and training needs,analyze and discuss the feasibility of complex training in firefighter strength and speed training,and design training programs.Using experiments method for 34 firefighters(17 in the experimental group and 17 in the control group)for 12 weeks of training intervention(twice a week).Using mathematical statistics to analyze the data before and after complex training and daily training(resistance training)for firefighters Perform comparative analysis.Research results:(1)The actual work task structure and action mode of firefighters have high requirements for other qualities such as strength and speed.And the current firefighter strength and speed training arrangements have unclear goals and basis,and training arrangements unsystematic and unreasonable training content.(2)When the complex training is applied to the strength and speed training of the fire brigade,it is necessary to fully consider the actual conditions of the firefighters and select a suitable training method,and it is necessary to control the training intensity,quantity and frequency.(3)Both 12-week complex training and resistance training can significantly improve firefighters’ 1RM barbell neck squats,seated throws,1RM horizontal bench press,100 m weight running,60 m shoulder ladder running,and 4th floor rope climbing performance(P values are all less than 0.05),and no significant improvement in weight-return running results(P = 0.33,P = 0.13);complex training can significantly improve firefighters’ vertical jump performance in place(P < 0.01),while resistance training is can not significantly improve the vertical jump performance of firefighters in place(P = 0.41).Research conclusions:(1)Firefighters need comprehensive physical fitness based on "composite qualities" such as strength,speed,and endurance;the current strength and speed training arrangements cannot meet the actual needs well.(2)Complex training and traditional resistance training have a good effect on improving the strength and speed of firefighters;complex training is better than resistance training in improving the explosive force of firefighters;for maximum strength and speed quality The increase is much greater.(3)Complex training can be applied to the training of firefighters’ strength and speed as part of their physical fitness training programs.
