With the development of modern physical training, functional strength training has been valued by sports researchers and physical coaches at home and abroad, but in the field of sports training research for college athletes, there is no targeted and complete functional strength training method. For tennis sports where upper limbs are reused, the ligaments and capsules on the shoulder joint complex are relatively weak, which can only provide suboptimal stability of the shoulder joint complex, and the stability of the shoulder joint is mainly caused by the surrounding muscle tissue provide.Serve and hit the ball in tennis are both "whipped" movements with the shoulder joint as the axis.According to the principle of alternation of joints discovered by researchers and the balance of internal and external shoulder muscle strength, training should focus on the stability of the scapula. After strengthening the stability of the scapula, the transmission of upper limb power on the power chain is smoother and the energy of the distal link is maximized. At the same time, the stability of the scapula provides stable support for the rapid movement of the upper limbs, the muscle contraction force is more sufficient, and tennis players are improved. The speed and quality of batting have strengthened the competitive ability of tennis players. In this thesis, literature data method, expert questionnaire method, experimental method, mathematical method and other methods are used to take the12 tennis players of the male high-level tennis team of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics as experimental subjects, and the experimental subjects are divided into experimental groups and control groups. Before and after the experiment, the indicators that reflect the strength of the subject’s shoulder joint complex were tested and collected. From May 22,2019 to July 13,2019,lasting 8weeks,3 times a week, after the routine tennis training session, the experimental group was trained in functional strength of the shoulder joint complex, and the control group was trained in traditional strength.training.Through statistical analysis of the indicators that reflect the strength of the test subject’s shoulder joint complex before and after the experiment, the following conclusions are drawn:(1)The experimental group of athletes who had functional strength training before and after the 8-week experiment experienced stability in the scapula and long distance badminton m),throwing solid ball forward with both hands(m),in-place clap throwing(m),in-place non-clap throwing(m),the growth rates before and after the experiment are: 16.8%,3.7%,14.8%,6.8%,and 4.5%.The cumulative growth percentages of the control group athletes who performed traditional strength training before and after these five index experiments were: 6.8%,1.2%,0.41%,2.8%,and 5.9%.Before the experiment, the experimental group and the control group did not show significant differences in each index;after the experiment, the experimental group and the control group showed significant differences in the scapula stability and the forward throwing solid ball index with both hands.(2)Through this experiment,it was found that traditional strength training is beneficial to the unilateral shoulder joint strength of tennis players, especially non-clap hands, while functional strength training pays more attention to the stability and explosive power of the athlete’s shoulder joint complex.Training has a greater impact on the shoulder joint complex of tennis athletes.
