| Purpose: this study investigated the influence of two kinds of water running exercises on the aerobic capacity of ordinary male college students through the intervention of deep water running and shallow water running training for 6 weeks,so as to provide college students with more suitable water running training methods for different needs.Method: Twenty healthy male college students were randomly assigned to the deep-water running training group(n=10)and the shallow water running training group(n=10).Height,weight,lung capacity, hemoglobin and maximum oxygen uptake test were performed as the basic test before the experiment. The maximum oxygen uptake test adopted Bruce scheme, which could obtain the maximum heart rate, relative maximum oxygen uptake, anaerobic threshold and running economy of the subjects.Subjects in the two groups were trained to run in deep water and shallow water for40 min at 60%-70%VO2max intensity for 6 weeks,4 times a week, respectively. The next day after the water running training, the same test was conducted as the basic test before the experiment. The results of all test indexes were expressed as mean ± standard deviation.Paired sample T test was used to compare the intra-group differences of indexes before and after training, and independent sample T test was used to compare the inter-group differences.P < 0.05 difference was significant.Results:(1)the lung capacity of subjects in the deep-water running group was significantly increased after training compared with before training, while there was no significant difference before and after the deep-water running group.(2)there was no significant change in hemoglobin concentration before and after training in the two groups.(3)the maximum heart rate of subjects in the two groups significantly increased after training compared with before training.(4)the subjects in the two groups were significantly improved after the maximal oxygen uptake training compared with before the training.(5)the time of occurrence of anaerobic threshold of subjects in shallow water running group was significantly delayed after training compared with before training, while the time of occurrence of anaerobic threshold of subjects in deep water running group and the relative value of anaerobic threshold of subjects in the two groups showed no significant difference before and after training.(6)in terms of running economy, the subjects in the shallow water running group improved significantly.Conclusions:(1)deep water running training can improve the lung capacity of ordinary male college students and improve the ability of oxygen intake.(2)both deep water running and shallow water running training can improve the maximum heart rate and relative maximum oxygen uptake of ordinary male college students, and improve the ability of the body to transport oxygen.(3)Shallow water running training is beneficial to improve the running economy of ordinary male college students, delay the emergence time of ventilation threshold, and improve the ability of the body to use oxygen. |
