Primary school picture book teaching has developed rapidly,and more and more first-line teachers have put into practice and summed up their experience,but there are still many problems in theory and practice.Primary school picture book teaching is an indispensable part of primary school teaching.This research mainly uses literature research method,questionnaire survey method and case analysis method,which is divided into five parts.First of all,the introduction to the reasons for this study,the domestic and foreign related research has been collected and collated,introduced the methods used in this study and the value of the study.Secondly,taking M experimental elementary school in Kunshan city as an example,the author investigates the teachers ’understanding of picture books and the difficulties encountered in the teaching practice of picture books,and expounds the purpose of the survey,the objects,statistical tools,and the results of the survey.Thirdly,on the basis of collating the results of the survey,the problems existing in primary school picture book teaching are put forward.From the perspective of lack of systematic teaching materials,neglect of students ’ability training,and simple teaching methods in primary school picture book teaching are elaborated.Secondly,the paper analyzes the reasons for the problems in primary school picture book teaching.The first is that teachers lack in-depth development of picture books,including primary school teachers ’shallow understanding of picture books,lack of curriculum development awareness,and some teachers do not pay attention to student core literacy;The second is that students lack the ability to interpret the hidden value of picture books,including the lack of picture book learning methods,neglect of problem design,lack of detailed observation,and lack of picture book practice activities;The third is the superficial study of picture book teaching methods,including lazy thinking and excessive use of multimedia.Finally,the optimization strategy of primary school picture book teaching is emphasized.The first is to increase the teachers ’attention to picture books,including paying attention to the quality of picture books,paying attention to cultivating students’ interest in picture books,and paying attention to picture books innovation;The second is to strengthen the student’s main position with activities,including reading experience,role playing,and innovative composition;The third is to enrich students to learn picture books.By analyzing the present situation of picture book teaching in M experimental elementary school in Kunshan city,this study has obtained the optimization strategy for primary school picture book teaching,which can provide a reference for the teaching practice of first-line teachers,and has a guiding role in improving the effectiveness of picture book teaching.
