As a large amount of agricultural land was requisitioned as urban construction land, peasants were forced to become landless peasants. The problem facing landless peasants is how to realize reemployment. However, the reality is that landless peasants often face severe employment difficulties. In the long run,land-lost peasants may be transformed into new urban poor people.Land-lost peasants not only do not enjoy the benefits of urbanization, but may have a certain negative impact on urbanization. Therefore,it is of great practical significance to study the employment difficulties of landless peasants. In order to study how to solve the employment difficulties of landless peasants, first, this article summarizes the employment behaviors of landless peasants into five types.Secondly, this paper analyzes the employment behavior of landless peasants and its influencing factors from the perspectives of dual economic theory, human capital theory and social capital theory.Through research,it is found that after losing land, the probability of voluntary unemployment increases, the probability of farming decreases, and the probability of self-employment and entrepreneurship increases. The main reason for the high unemployment rate of landless peasants is the lack of human capital, but social capital has not played a significant role.As the group of landless peasants will still exist for a long time,we must make long-term system design for landless peasants.According to the conclusions of the study, this article puts forward corresponding policy recommendations.Including policies and measures to coordinate the relationship between urbanization and economic development, conduct extensive professional and technical training, increase investment in rural education, and encourage to establish collective economies.
