| People with disabilities are a large group that can not be ignored in our country,they have more or less the problem of low sense of self-worth,social workers help to enhance their sense of selfworth is a very important practical work,but also help them to improve the quality of life.In this study,the author used casework method,focus on Solution-Focused Brief Therapy as a guide,a patient with spinal cord injury with low self-worth with professional intervention,to explore the the effectiveness and applicability of Solution-Focused Brief Therapy in improving the self-worth of patients with spinal cord injury,to help the clients to rebuild life,but also provide some microreference for the relevant practice.Under the guidance of Solution-Focused Brief Therapy,this paper focuses on changing the negative state of the client and enhancing the sense of self-worth from the following four aspects.Firstly,improve the self-care ability of the client,help him master the basic life movements that must be completed by others in his normal life,eliminate the trouble of the client,and cultivate the self-confidence of the client;secondly,improve the emotional problems of the client,through the peer teacher’s joint guidance,the summary of the rebirth meeting and the atmosphere to help the client out of anxiety and depression,to regain the interest in life;thirdly,restore the family relationship of the client,help to repair the relationship between the client and his father,and resolve the misunderstanding with other family members,and give the client a sense of happiness and selfconfidence from the family;fourthly,excavate the client’s own value and realize,by helping other disabled people to master the life skill,follow the father to do business together,and learn the strength of the example,make the client discover his own superiority,combine the resources that he owns,realize his own value;fifthly,re-evaluation through the external and internal evaluation and feedback,to help the client to recognize their own positive changes,re-establish themselves,to obtain a higher sense of self-worth.Through the comprehensive analysis of the client himself,his father,and the data of the scale,the self-worth of the client has indeed been improved,from which the author concludes that,firstly,the intervention of Solution-Focused Brief Therapy is helpful for patients with spinal cord injury who have insufficient sense of self-worth,secondly,the client himself has a lot of resources,social workers in the service should focus on digging to let client find their own value,thirdly,the difficulty and breakthrough of the research is to improve client’s self-confidence.And the improvement of self-worth in patients with spinal cord injury also needs the support of society at a large level,and continuous return visits and tracking is also necessary,the long-term maintenance of service effectiveness can not be separated from the continuous integration of all power resources. |
