| The improvement of employment quality is the most powerful guarantee for migrant workers to integrate into cities and towns, and also an important part of building a well-off society in an all-round way.At present, the reality that the quality of non-agricultural employment of migrant workers is still low can not be ignored.Compared with urban workers, the characteristics of the underclass in the group identity of migrant workers are more obvious.Paying attention to the possible social attitudes behind the low-quality employment of migrant workers is of great significance to accurately grasp the internal logic of their social attitudes and behavior tendencies, guarantee their social welfare supply and promote the building of a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way.Based on the data of China General Social Survey(CGSS)in 2015,this study screened out migrant workers’ samples, and empirically analyzed the impact of employment quality and class identity on migrant workers’ social attitudes by constructing an orderly logit model, and tested the intermediary effect of class identity. The conclusions are as follows:First, the overall employment situation of migrant workers is still not optimistic.Compared with urban workers, the employment situation of migrant workers is worse. At the same time, there are differences in the employment characteristics of the new generation of migrant workers and the older generation of migrant workers.Compared with the older generation of migrant workers, the employment situation of the new generation of migrant workers has improved significantly.Second, the subjective stratum structure of the migrant workers group is basically "olive type".However, compared with the urban employees or the full sample data, the characteristics of migrant workers’ "middle and lower class" identity are more obvious. At the same time, compared with the older generation of migrant workers, the characteristics of the new generation of migrant workers holding the “middle-level” identity are more prominent.Third, the social attitude of migrant workers with high-quality employment is more positive.Specifically, the quality of employment has a significant positive impact on the social trust of migrant workers. The higher the quality of employment, the more fair the society perceived by migrant workers. The employment quality has a significant role in improving the subjective well-being of migrant workers. The study of employment quality in different dimensions shows that the social trust of migrant workers feels a significant negative impact on work intensity, and social security has a significant positive effect on improving the social trust of migrant workers.Work autonomy and social security have significantly improved migrant workers ’sense of social justice.Work intensity has a significant negative effect on the subjective well-being of migrant workers.Work stability, job autonomy, and social security have a significant positive effect on the subjective well-being of migrant workers. At the same time, there are significant intergenerational differences in the impact of employment quality on the social attitudes of migrant workers.Fourth, class identity has a significant positive impact on migrant workers’ social trust, social fairness, and subjective well-being.At the same time, the test of intermediary effect shows that class identity has an intermediary effect on the impact of employment quality on the social attitudes of migrant workers.Employment quality affects the social trust, social fairness and subjective well-being by partially affecting the migrant workers’ class identity. In view of the above research conclusions, this paper proposes to improve the employment quality of migrant workers by enhancing the occupational skills of migrant workers, improving the level of human capital, strengthening the supervision and management of the occupational market of migrant workers, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of migrant workers. At the same time,we should pay attention to eliminating the urban-rural inequality mechanism at the institutional level, promote social fairness and justice, enhance the identification of migrant workers, and improve the livelihood and well-being of migrant workers. |
