The Study On Impacts Of Employment Quality On The Migrant Workers’ Willingness To Stay At City

Based on the theory of labour migration comb and the review of related literature,this paper uses the micro data of Fuzhou,Quanzhou,Xiamen city in fujian province in 2016 summer vacation investigation for analyzing the factors influence migrant workers’ willing to stay at cities from the perspective of employment quality.Firstly,this paper statistical analysis the basic situation of migrant workers’ employment quality and settle willing.Then,this paper uses Logit regression models to make an empirical analysis on the influence factors of the migrant workers’willing to settle in cities.This paper studied the migrant workers’ economic income,employment stability,job satisfaction,social insurances,rights protection,and career development.These factors were selected into the analysis faction through the weighted average and factor analysis.The results showed that employment quality has a significant effect on the migrant workers’ willingness to settle in the city.At the same time,the firstly indicators of social insurances and career development have significant effect on the willingness.Finally,these factors of job skills,trade unions,wage satisfaction and job opportunities also effect migrant workers’willingness significantly.According to the final results,most of the hypothesizes have been proved in this paper,but also some variables didn’t pass the significance test.In the end,this paper put forward some suggestions to enhance the rural migrant workers’willingness to settle in cities,including promote the migrant workers participating insurance programs,enhance the professional education training quality and strengthen the protection system of work rights.
